Jog Falls - India

Jog Falls, Gerosoppa Falls or Joga Falls is the second-highest plunge waterfall in India, Located in Sagara taluk, these segmented falls are a major tourist attraction. They are also called Gersoppa Falls and Jogada Gundi.

It is located on the Shimoga and Uttara Kannada district border.

The island had a total area of 1,250 square kilometres (483 sq mi)[when?], but having lost significantly to erosion it has an area of only 421.65 square kilometres (163 sq mi) in 2001. Majuli has shrunk as the river surrounding it has grown.

Mehrangarh Fort - Jodhpur, Rajasthan,India.

Mehrangarh Fort (Hindi: मेहरानगढ़ का किला)  located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, is one of the largest forts in India. Built around 1460 by Rao Jodha, the fort is situated 410 feet (125 m) above the city and is enclosed by imposing thick walls. Inside its boundaries there are several palaces known for their intricate carvings and expansive courtyards. A winding road leads to and from the city below. The imprints of cannonball hits by attacking armies of Jaipur can still be seen on the second gate. To the left of the fort is the chhatri of Kirat Singh Soda, a soldier who fell on the spot defending the Mehrangarh fort.

Sukhna Lake -Chandigarh, India

Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh, India, is a reservoir at the foothills of the Himalayas, the Shivalik hills. This 3 km² rainfed lake was created in 1958 by damming the Sukhna Choe, a seasonal stream coming down from the Shivalik Hills. Originally the seasonal flow entered the lake directly causing heavy siltation. To check the inflow of silt, 25.42 km² of land was acquired in the catchment area and put under vegetation. In 1974, the Choe was diverted and made to bypass the lake completely, the lake being fed by three siltation pots, minimising the entry of silt into the lake itself

Ghats in Varanasi - Varanasi, India

Ghats in Varanasi are riverfront steps leading to the banks of River Ganges. The city has nearly 100 ghats. Most of the ghats are bathing and puja ceremony ghats, while a few are used exclusively as cremation sites.

Most Varanasi ghats were built after 1700 AD, when the city was part of Maratha Empire. The patrons of current ghats are Marathas, Shindes (Scindias), Holkars, Bhonsles, and Peshwes (Peshwas). Many ghats are associated with legends or mythologies while many ghats are privately owned. Morning boat ride on the Ganges across the ghats is a popular visitors attraction.
