According to popular culture, it’s a good time to be a nerd (which we’ll define here as a socially-awkward, unstylish, high-achieving type, usually with a particular cultural or intellectual obsession). While grown-up nerds tend to make more money than others, nerdy teens can find traditional jobs like flipping burgers far from intellectually stimulating.
