2 cups boiled rice (urpel)
1 whole grated coconut
half kg or more jaggary (check the sweet ac to your taste)
half cup dry roasted bajil / beaten rice
1/4 tsp cardamom pd
turmeric leaves/ manjol ere
Method:
1. Soak rice for 6 hours in hot water.
2. Grind to a fine paste with very little water and salt
or you have to make little thin and cook the batter for some time till it thickens to gatti consistency.
3. Clean & dry the leaves.
4. Take a kadai & add jaggary, coconut and cardamom pd and cook some time (little paka)
5. Lastly add roasted beaten rice and mix well.
6. Spread the batter /gatti on leaves. Add jaggary stuffing and fold the gatti.
7. Steam for half an hour in the tondoor.
