Neetu Singh - Indian Actress
Neetu Singh (born 8 July 1958), also known as Neetu Kapoor after marriage to Rishi Kapoor in 1980, is an Indian Bollywood actress. She started acting from the age of 8 under the name Baby Sonia. She played Roopa in the 1966 movie Dus Lakh and a dual role in the film Do Kaliyaan. Her other notable films as a child actress were Waris and Pavitra Paapi. She made her debut as a leading actress in Rikshawala in 1972 and went onto appear in over 60 films. She left the film industry in 1983 after her marriage to frequent co-star Rishi Kapoor in 1980. She recently made a comeback after 26 years appearing opposite her husband in Love Aaj Kal (2009), Do Dooni Chaar (2010), Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012) and Besharam (2013).

Tulips
The genus's native range extends west to the Iberian Peninsula, through North Africa to Greece, the Balkans, Turkey, throughout the Levant (Syria, Israel, Palestinian Territories, Lebanon, Jordan) and Iran, north to Ukraine, southern Siberia and Mongolia, and east to the Northwest of China. The tulip's centre of diversity is in the Pamir, Hindu Kush, and Tien Shan mountains.It is a common element of steppe and winter-rain Mediterranean vegetation.
A number of species and many hybrid cultivars are grown in gardens or as potted plants.

Kimchi Creamed Collard Greens
INGREDIENTS
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 large yellow onion, minced
1/2 pound slab bacon, minced
2 pounds collard greens, trimmed and torn into bite-size pieces
1/4 cup sherry vinegar
1 tablespoon sorghum or maple syrup
2 cups chicken stock
Kosher salt
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup finely chopped Classic Cabbage Kimchi
PREPARATION
Place a large pot over medium heat and add the olive oil. Add the onion and sauté until it has some color. Add the bacon and cook for 10 minutes, or until fully rendered.
Add the collards and sauté until a bit limp, 4 to 5 minutes. Add the vinegar and cook down until almost dry. Add the sorghum, stock, 2 cups of water, and kosher salt to taste. Simmer, covered, for about 45 minutes, until the collards are tender.
While the collards are cooking, get the kimchi cream ready to roll: In a small saucepan, cook the cream over medium heat, watching it closely, until it has reduced by one-third, 4 to 5 minutes. Add the chopped kimchi.
When the collards are tender, stir the kimchi cream into the greens and cook to marry the flavors, about 10 minutes. Serve.

100g diced mango
1/2 teaspoon lime juice
125g blueberries
150g organic vanilla yogurt
2 teaspoons mixed seeds (pumpkin, sunflower, sesame) Serving Size : Serves 2
METHOD
1. Mix the chopped strawberries with the pomegranate juice.
2. Spritz the mango cubes with the lime juice.
3. Using two tumblers or glasses, layer the ingredients: strawberry, mango, blueberries, yogurt and, finally, the seeds.

Creamy Stone-Ground Grits
INGREDIENTS
4 cups water
4 cups whole milk
2 cups white stone-ground grits
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 stick unsalted butter (optional), cut into pieces
2 teaspoons kosher salt
PREPARATION
Bring water and milk just to a simmer in a 4- to 5-quart heavy saucepan. Meanwhile, cover grits with water in a large bowl and whisk vigorously. Let stand 30 seconds, then skim any chaff that has floated to surface with a fine-mesh sieve. Drain grits well in a fine-mesh sieve and whisk into simmering milk mixture.
Reduce heat to low and simmer grits, partially covered, stirring often with a heatproof rubber spatula, until grits are tender and thickened to the consistency of loose oatmeal, about 1 1/4hours (stir more toward end of cooking to avoid scorching). If grits become too thick before they are tender and creamy, thin with hot water (about 1/2 cup).
Stir in cream, butter (if using), and salt. Remove from heat and keep warm, covered, up to 20 minutes.
Badam Halwa - North Indian Recipe
Ingredients:

ghee-5 tbsp

Method:
Soak badam in hot water for 1/2 hour and thhen remove the skin.Grind in a mimie adding milk little by little. Grind coarsley like idly batter, to this add the sugar and then keep it on the flame. Keep stirring the mixture till the reqrired stage[when rolled inbetween the finger it should come as a ball]. At this stage remove from fire and add the ghee little by little. At first all the ghee will get absorbed, then it will let out the ghee. You can add a little saffron at this stage and transfer into abowl.Delicious home made badam halwa is ready. At first it will be little sticky but after it cools it is all set.

Chris Brown - American Recording Artist,
Christopher Maurice "Chris" Brown (born May 5, 1989) is an American recording artist, dancer and actor. Born in Tappahannock, Virginia, he taught himself to sing and dance at a young age and was involved in his church choir and several local talent shows. Having signed with Jive Records in 2004, Brown released his self-titled debut studio album the following year. Blackberry-Tarragon Paletas
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 pints blackberries
1 cup simple syrup
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons fresh tarragon leaves
PREPARATION

Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a large measuring cup, divide among ice-pop molds, insert sticks, and freeze until solid, at least 6 hours.

Roast the poppy seeds for about a minute. Grind the roasted poppy seeds and green chillies into a paste with some water.
Deep-fry the potatoes till they turn golden brown. Keep aside.
In another pan heat 1½ tbsp of oil. Add the cumin seeds, turmeric powder and dried red chillies.
Stir well till they begin to crackle. Add the poppy seed paste and salt. Cook for 2 minutes.
Now mix in the potatoes, pour a dash of water and leave it to simmer for 7-8 minutes.
Garnish and serve.

The easternmost quarter of the island is separated by a channel through the mangroves that is 15 meters wide on average. This section is called Helene, or Santa Elena in Spanish. Leonardo da Vinci - Italian Polymath
Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci, more commonly Leonardo da Vinci, ( 15 April 1452 – 2 May 1519) was an Italian polymath whose areas of interest included invention, painting, sculpting, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, literature, anatomy, geology, astronomy, botany, writing, history, and cartography. He has been variously called the father of paleontology, ichnology, and architecture, and is widely considered one of the greatest painters of all time Sometimes credited with the inventions of the parachute, helicopter and tank, his genius epitomized the Renaissance humanist ideal.
Many historians and scholars regard Leonardo as a great exemplar of the "Renaissance Man", an individual of "unquenchable curiosity" and "feverishly inventive imagination". According to art historian Helen Gardner, the scope and depth of his interests were without precedent in recorded history, and "his mind and personality seem to us superhuman, the man himself mysterious and remote".Marco Rosci, however, notes that while there is much speculation regarding his life and personality, his view of the world was logical rather than mysterious, and that the empirical methods he employed were unorthodox for his time.

Spicy Kimchi Tofu Stew
INGREDIENTS
Kosher salt
1 16-ounce package silken tofu, cut into 1" pieces
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
4 cups gently squeezed cabbage kimchi, chopped, plus 1 cup liquid
2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean hot pepper paste)
8 scallions, cut into 1" pieces
2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
Freshly ground black pepper
6 large egg yolks
2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
PREPARATION
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Reduce heat, carefully add tofu, and simmer gently until slightly puffed and firmed up, about 4 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer tofu to a medium bowl.
Heat vegetable oil in a large heavy pot over medium-high heat. Add kimchi and gochujang and cook, stirring often, until beginning to brown, 5–8 minutes. Add kimchi liquid and 8 cups water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until kimchi is softened and translucent, 35–40 minutes.
Add scallions, soy sauce, and tofu; simmer gently until tofu has absorbed flavors, 20–25 minutes (tofu will fall apart a little). Add sesame oil; season with salt and pepper. Ladle stew into bowls; top each with an egg yolk and sesame seeds.

Cinnamon : 1 inch piece
Clove : 2
Saunf ( aniseed ) : ¼ tsp
Peppercorn : 1 tsp
Corainder seeds : 2 tsp
Green chilli : 10
Ginger : 1 inch piece
Garlic : 10 pods
Salt : 1 tsp
Oil : 100 ml
Curry leaves : 2 stems
Method
Wash the chicken thighs, clean and slit the chicken pieces with a knife.
Stuff the thighs with the ground masala of the items listed in section II.
Let it marinate for ½ an hour.
Heat 2 cups of water in a vessel.
When the water boils, add the chicken pieces with masala and cook till the water evaporates.
Heat oil in a frying pan.
Add curry leaves, cooked chicken pieces and fry in a medium flame.
This pepper chicken can be served with chicken stew.

Baja-Style Tempura Fish
INGREDIENTS
Chile-Lime Marinade
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
10 cloves garlic, sliced
2 serrano chiles, stemmed and sliced
2 teaspoons dried Mexican oregano, ground (page 161)
1 tablespoon fine sea salt
2 pounds young shark fillet, cut into 4 by 3/4-inch strips (see headnote)
Baja Tempura Batter
3/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon ice water
2 1/2 teaspoons yellow mustard (optional)
1 cup bleached all-purpose flour
Vegetable oil, for deep-frying
10 (5 1/2-inch) soft white corn tortillas (page 13), for serving
Garnish: Baja Cabbage Slaw (page 145), lime wedges, and pickled jalapeño rings
PREPARATION
To make the marinade, in a large bowl, combine the 1 1/2 cups water, lime juice, garlic, chiles, oregano, and salt. Add the fish strips and let marinate for at least 20 minutes.
To make the tempura batter, in a separate bowl, whisk together the ice water and mustard. Gently stir in the flour, but don’t overmix; a few small lumps are okay. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Drain the shark pieces and pat them dry with a paper towel.
Have a plate lined with paper towels ready. In a large, heavy-bottomed pot, heat at least 2 to 3 inches of oil over medium heat until it reaches 360°F on a deep-fat thermometer. Remove the batter from the refrigerator and stir once more. Dredge the fish pieces in the batter, a few at a time, to evenly coat. Drop them in the hot fat, 2 pieces at a time, adding 2 more pieces every 30 seconds (fry no more than 4 pieces at a time). Monitor the temperature of the hot oil throughout frying, letting the oil return to proper temperature, if necessary, between batches; to ensure crispness, it must remain a constant 360°F to 380°F. If too low, the fish will be oily; if too hot, the pieces will burn.
Fry them until crisp, light golden brown, and floating in the oil, about 2 1/2 minutes per batch. With a fine-mesh skimmer, transfer the fish tempura to the paper-towel-lined plate to absorb the excess oil. Repeat with the remaining pieces of fish. During frying, be sure to remove any pieces of floating batter, or they will burn and darken the oil, which will transfer a burned flavor to the tempura. Serve immediately.
To serve, lay the tortillas side by side, open face and overlapping on a platter. Divide the slaw and filling equally between the tortillas and top with salsa and garnish. Grab, fold, and eat right away. Or build your own taco: lay a tortilla, open face, in one hand. Spoon on some slaw, then filling, top with salsa, fold, and eat right away.

Now add the water and raise heat to high. When water comes to a boil add salt to taste and pour in the semolina slowly while stirring constantly.
Make sure that the semolina has thoroughly mixed with water.
Now reduce heat to low, cover with a lid and let it cook for 3-4 minutes.
Remove from heat and drizzle lemon juice. Garnish with coriander leaves before serving.

PICKLED FIG, ROBIOLA, & PISTACHIO OIL CROSTINI
INGREDIENTS
12 slices ciabatta bread
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
6 dried figs
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons pistachios, toasted and shelled
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
Robiola cheese
PREPARATION
Combine red wine vinegar, sugar, and dried figs with 1/4 cup water in a saucepan; bring to a simmer. Remove from heat and let sit until figs soften, about 30 minutes.
Halve figs lengthwise. (Alternatively, use 6 fresh figs and halve lengthwise.)
Finely crush pistachios and combine with extra-virgin olive oil.
Grill bread slices.
Smear room-temperature Robiola cheese onto warm toasts. Top with halved figs. Drizzle with pistachio oil.
